Our Story
For years, I have asked my husband to buy something for our outside AC drain pipe to prevent the constant dripping that was making the side of the house moldy, not to mention all the water that was being wasted. He said they did not make anything to prevent it, so I put a 5-gallon bucket under the drain pipe to catch the water. When I remembered, I would take the bucket, which was always over-flowing, and I would water my flowers with the water. The bucket was always full, which made it heavy to carry, so most of the time I would spill the water on my shoes or break a blood vessel in my finger from the wire handle on the bucket. Since the bucket would fill up quickly and I would forget about it, the problem of the mold and wetness still existed. In fact, a few years ago we had termites in our bathroom which was directly above the air conditioner drain. Termites are drawn to moist, soggy soil. We would also get bugs and lizards in the pipe which would clog it. Finally, one day I said “There must be SOMETHING we can put on that AC drain pipe to prevent this problem.” Again, my husband said he had never found anything that was made for what I wanted. So I said “Fine, then I will make something myself.” So, this is the story for “CATCH A DRIP.” I love it!! I have one on each of our AC drains pipes and they have totally solved the problem. I hope you will find it just as useful.
